Introduction
Thinh Nguyen is a US registered patent attorney with over twenty-eight years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution. His technical areas cover a wide spectrum of electrical engineering and computer science including computer architecture, processor and memory designs, semiconductor device physics and fabrication, nano technology, solid-state storage technologies, electrical circuits, communication networks, image processing, image sensors, imaging and software systems, machine vision, artificial intelligence, machine learning, neural networks, medical information systems, biomedical instruments, and mechanical systems. Prior to joining Renaissance IP Law, he was an in-house counsel for a technology conglomerate and a partner of a reputable medium-sized law firm. Prior to practicing law, he worked as an engineer designing hardware and software systems in semiconductor test equipment, industrial controllers, parallel computers, signal and image processing. He was a professor in computer engineering and computer science at a state university.
Thinh received a JD from the Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles, a BS and PhD in electrical engineering from the Universioty of California, Irvine, and an MS in electrical engineering from the University of Southern California.
