DOUGLAS KIM
Introduction
Douglas Kim’s practice focuses on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications with an emphasis in software and computer-related technologies. He has worked on patents in technical areas such as image processing, collaborative content creation platforms, machine learning, cloud architectures, search, natural language processing, digital storage, semiconductors, and databases among others.
Douglas received B.S. degrees in Accountancy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Computing and Software Systems from the University of Washington, Bothell. He received his M.S. degree in Information and Computer Science from the University of California, Irvine with a concentration in artificial intelligence. He graduated Cum Laude from the University of Illinois College of Law. Douglas is admitted to the State Bar of California and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Prior to attending law school, Douglas worked as a software developer using various programming languages including C/C++, C#, and Java. He also has experience in areas such as artificial intelligence, user interfaces, and database technologies.
