Introduction
Christopher Fey has over 6 years of engineering and legal experience. Before entering private practice, Mr. Fey was employed with Global Patent Solutions as a Research Analyst and Reviewer. In that role, Mr. Fey examined Patent Cooperative Treaty Applications as a USPTO Contractor for the Physical Sciences , including nuclear energy, semiconductors processing, photovoltaic as well as thermal-electric solar, LED and LCD displays, LED packaging, and various imaging techniques.
Mr. Fey earned his Honors Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering Physics at Oregon State University, focusing in Semiconductors/Chemical engineering. During undergraduate, Mr. Fey worked for Planar Systems, a display manufacturer where he supported research and development into optical touchscreens, high resolution displays, Stereoscopic 3D displays, and phosphor development, as well as researched a variety of competitors technologies including LCD Displays, OLED Displays, Electroluminescent Displays, Plasma Displays, and E-Ink.
Prior to law school, Mr. Fey worked for Hynix Semiconductors as a Process Engineer in Eugene, OR. At Hynix, he worked in the thin film group, specializing in metals including titanium, aluminum, and tungsten deposition, including both physical vapor deposition, as well as chemical vapor deposition. He also worked with additional processes, such as plasma etching, spin coating, diffusion, and various metrology methods, including optical and scanning electron microscopes.
Mr. Fey is a member of the California Bar and a Registered Patent Attorney.
